I went to see Stephen Chobsky’s ‘The Perks of being a Wallflower’. I loved the book and the film was surprisingly good! It’s got a great cast and I think it’s a really intelligent depiction of a certain era of teenage life. Worth a watch for sure, and Chobsky has the best taste in music.
I also got my eyebrows done, and I am a Mirrorball!
Talking of perks, I get to do overtime in the Waitrose cafe which is super exciting, and a nice change, at any rate, from the Deli. However, they have taken to closing the door which connects the till area to the kitchen behind it. Not such a big deal, but to open the door to go into the kitchen, you have to press a special panel on the wall with your foot and then the door opens. There’s one on the other side, for when you want to leave the kitchen. But I can’t find it. I have to run in and out really fast, or else try and make myself look busy and wait for someone else to come in. This is actually, normally, not so much of a problem, as I get lots of washing up done, but it can become an issue when a customer asks me to find out what the soup of the day is and then I don’t emerge for forty-five minutes…
